This is the beginning of a long-term project.
Over time, I have collected water samples
from the Providence River at random moments—
without prediction, without pattern.
Each bottle holds a specific moment of the river’s condition,
suspended in time.
Together, they form an evolving archive of presence:
not to analyze or label, but simply to witness.
This project is ongoing.
New bottles will be added, new observations recorded.
The goal is not completion, but accumulation—
a quiet way of marking what flows by, often unseen.
